The Chachapoyan Fertility Idol is one of the most iconic movie props ever created and has been on my personal build wishlist for years. This project was built as a display-quality replica inspired by the famous opening sequence from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The idol was 3D printed before undergoing extensive surface preparation, including UV resin smoothing, sanding, filling, priming, and multiple finishing stages. The final metallic finish was achieved using a gloss black base, chrome paint, Aqua Gloss clear coat, and a custom transparent gold tint.

To complete the display, a custom stone pedestal was created and weathered using black washes, dry brushing, moss effects, and burnt umber weathering to recreate the appearance of an ancient jungle temple artifact.
