Inspired by the ancient Orb of Garraka from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, this build began as a 3D printed replica before being carefully finished and weathered to capture the mysterious appearance seen on screen.

The orb features engraved symbols highlighted through layered weathering techniques designed to bring out the intricate details hidden within the surface. Multiple paint layers, washes, and dry-brushing were used to create an aged metallic finish while preserving the sharpness of the engraved markings.

The display stand was finished separately using a cleaner metallic treatment to contrast with the heavily weathered orb, helping the centerpiece stand out while maintaining the Ghostbusters aesthetic.

This project was a great opportunity to experiment with layered weathering effects and atmospheric presentation, transforming a simple 3D print into a display piece worthy of any paranormal collection.
