Himiko Toga's Dagger

My Hero Academia Prop Build

Screenshot (83)_edited.jpg

Inspired by the iconic weapon carried by Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia, this build started as a 3D printed replica before being carefully prepared, painted, and finished for display.

The print required extensive cleanup and surface preparation, including UV resin coating, sanding, filler primer, and undercoating to achieve a smooth finish while preserving the original details of the model.

For the final finish, I used metallic silver paint over a gloss black base, followed by the signature green edge detailing seen in the anime. Weathering was kept subtle to maintain a clean display-piece appearance while still giving the prop a realistic feel.

This project was a great opportunity to experiment with metallic finishes and showcase how a simple 3D print can be transformed into a convention-ready display prop.
